Emmet County 
Pleasant View Township is one of the many Townships in Emmet County Michigan. Residents and visitors enjoy a variety of seasons, trails, lake access, beaches, recreational activities, and business offerings. Headlands International Dark Sky Park and Trails are located in the northern part of the county.

Forty-six miles of the 4,600 mile National Scenic Trail is in Harbor Springs and Pleasant View Township. The trail is the longest national scenic trail that offers year round recreation opportunities. The trail starts in New York and ends in North Dakota. Emmet County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) 
If there is an emergency, call 911. Emmet County EMS offers the Assure Program. It is a membership designed to help people in our service area save money. The savings apply if they use an ambulance or EMS services. For more information, including information on veterans’ waivers, call (231) 776-1002.

If there is an emergency, call 911. The Tri-County organization is a source for information for disaster preparations, notifications, and training. Create a BE ALERT account for local alerts. A Smart911 account is geared to give first responders valuable information in an emergency. Hazard Mitigation, Preparation Tips, Kids Zone, Training Events, School Safety, and other Resources continue to evolve.

Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) MIDrive 
The MDOT MIDrive website provides information about road construction, closures, incidents, cameras, and more.
Visit the The Emmet County Recycling Center for information about waste disposal, recycling, composting, and shredding. You can also make appointments for disposing of paints and other caustic items. The website lists items that are, and are NOT recyclable. Not all plastic is recyclable. Pizza boxes are generally difficult to, or are not recyclable, particularly when grease and cheese have stained the cardboard. So, let’s put waste in the right place so the Center can continue keeping our community clean!

The mission of the Michigan Public Service Commission is to serve the public. It ensures safe, reliable, and accessible energy and telecommunications services. These services are provided at reasonable rates. Visit the MPSC for information about utility consumer and regulatory information. Be sure to call MISS DIG 811 before digging!
